About Basketball

Basketball is played by two teams of five players on a rectangular court. The ball can be advanced by bouncing it while walking or running or throwing it to a teammate. The objective is to shoot the ball through a hoop that is 10 feet high mounted to a backboard at each end.

a team can score two- or three-point field goals by shooting the ball through the basket. A team can also score via free throws, worth one point, after the other team is assessed a foul. The team with the most points at the end of regulation time wins, unless there is a tie, at which point an overtime period(s) will be played until there is a winner.
